Mr. Mohammad Jalal Sikandar Sultan has been educated in the most prestigious institutions of the country. He did his FSc from Cadet College Hassan Abdal and then went on to graduate from King Edward Medical College Lahore with a degree in medicine. He got inducted into the civil services (DMG/PAS) through FPSC in 1987 and belongs to the 15th Common. He was first posted as Assistant Commissioner, Islamabad in 1989. He further went on to serve on many key positions such as Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, Director General Excise and Taxation Punjab and was secretary of Communications & Work, Services and General Administration and Local Government in Punjab. He introduced various reforms for the benefits of the general public while serving as Director General Immigration and Passport and earned much praise for his efforts to curb corruption and ensure good governance in Gilgit Baltistan as Chief Secretary. He is known for his role in holding peaceful, free and fair elections in AJK while serving their as Chief Secretary in 2016.
He joined the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources on 18th of April 2017 as Secretary. He sits on the boards of the following companies:
Mr. Shoaib Mir, is an officer of Federal Government in BS-22 and presently posted as Chief Secretary, Balochistan. He has held the position of Chairman, State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, Additional Secretary Establishment Division besides remained posted on leading Administrative & Financial positions in Federal, Provincial Government and Public Sector Enterprises.
Mr. Shoaib Mir joined Civil Services in 1990. He has vast professional experience in senior management positions in diversified fields including but not limited to public sector management, administration, finance, health, insurance and planning.
He has extensively attended local and international professional training courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. Mr. Shoaib Mir has attained a Degree of MBBS along with a Diploma from the prestigious Kennedy School of Government an affiliate of Harvard University Boston, Massachusetts. He is a qualified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. He is also a Director on the Board of Security Papers Limited.
