TDL is a part of Exploration Department

Locations:

  • TDL Office I-9 Workshops.

  • 10th Floor Head office.

Brief Introduction

  • Most important and vital department / Data Bank of the OGDCL.

  • It stores and maintains most precious technical data and information related to oil and gas exploration and production.

PURPOSE

It receives, stores, index, archive, maintain, and provide the technical data of:

  • Exploration

  • Drilling

  • Production

  • Joint venture

For activities of OGDCL professionals and Joint Venture Companies.

TDL Activities

  1. Arrangements for Collection of Technical Data of:

  • Seismic, Geological surveys.
  • Well Logs, Reports, etc.
  1. Cataloging / Indexation and Storage of the Data.

  2. Proper Archiving of Data.

  3. Provision of Data to OGDCL professionals and joint ventures companies.

  4. Arrangements for printing, copying, scanning and digitizing of TDL data.

  5. Indoor Study of data for Joint venture partners, consultants.

  6. All above activities through proper channel only.

TDL holds data in form of

  1. Hard copy (paper printedreports / logs) of:

  • Well Data
  • Support Data
  1. Geological and Geophysical studies / survey reports.

  2. Soft copy (Fields and Processed data (Round Tapes/ Cartridges / CD/ DVD / Floppies) ) of Seismic Data.

  3. Maps.

  4. Seismic Sections (Films/Sepia & Paper Prints).

  5. Scanned Data in the form of PDF (proceeding).
