Mr. Mumtaz Ali Soomro

Mr. Mumtaz Ali Soomro currently holds the charge of Executive Director (Production).  He started his journey in OGDCL as an Assistant Engineer (Production) in December 1990. Mr. Soomro Graduated with a B.Sc. Degree in Petroleum & Gas Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. A veteran and performance driven Petroleum Engineer who has a diversified experience spanning over 33 years in production operations and field management both in Northern and Southern region fields. He is expert in multiple facets of Petroleum Engineering, including well testing, completions, coil tubing, nitrogen kickoff, stimulations, gravel pack completions, strategic planning, budgeting and field development. His proficiency in technical and management skills has significantly enriched the company. He is also leading a dedicated working group for production optimization, aiming to accelerate OGDCL’s production profile using cutting-edge technological interventions. Mr. Soomro is also a member of PEC and SPE. His extensive experience, continuous learning, leadership, and proactive approach to employing advanced technologies positioned him a valuable asset to Company and driving force behind strategic initiatives.
