OGDCL unlocking Geothermal Potential
OGDCL is collaborating with SLB to develop a strategy for harnessing geothermal resources in hydrocarbon fields across Pakistan. This partnership will focus on evaluating the geothermal potential of 25 fields across three basins. Together, OGDCL and SLB will assess surface, subsurface, and well data to identify key areas and estimate geothermal capacity using advanced modeling techniques.
The initial pilot project will screen and evaluate nine fields for detailed analysis, including wellbore modeling and next steps. Through this collaboration, OGDCL aims to explore sustainable energy solutions and contribute to the nation's energy future.
