Dr. Khalid Amin Khan
Dr. Khalid Amin Khan leads the Exploration Directorate, boasting 33 years of diverse experience across its three core domains: Prospect Generation, Geophysical Services (including Seismic Processing), and Geological Services. Additionally, he has served as Chief Instructor at OGTI.
Holding a Ph.D. in Computational Geophysics, Dr. Khan has authored over 60 international research publications and presented at numerous international conferences.
His research focuses on geophysical software engineering, seismic refraction, velocity modeling, digital signal processing, rock physics, quantitative interpretation, gravity, electrical resistivity, geoinformatics, orbital mechanics, big data analytics, and machine learning/artificial intelligence applications in geophysics.
Dr. Khan is a distinguished Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Geophysical Union, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, International Association of Mathematical Geosciences, and Founding Member of Pakistan Geophysical Network.
