Reservoir Management

Reservoir Management plays a pivotal role in bridging the Exploration and Production domains, ensuring seamless integration from discovery for commercialization to decommissioning. The team is responsible for evaluating hydrocarbon reserves, assessing their economic viability, and recommending the drilling of development wells & workovers. To sustain and enhance oil and gas production, OGDCL employs innovative and modern techniques, including the design of workovers and Enhanced Oil Recovery schemes for depleting reservoirs. 

Company utilizes both Static and Dynamic reservoir models, incorporating geophysical, geological, petrophysical, production, and pressure data to optimize reservoir performance using industry’s advanced software tools like PETREL, INTERSECT, KAPPA, OFM, PEEP, DSG (Decision Space Geoscience), TECHLOG & DSP (Decision Space Geoscience). OGDCL also undertakes Corporate Reserves Certification Studies through third-party consultants, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reserve estimates and evaluate corporate level value of the company. OGDCL team diligently oversees and actively engages in the exploration, development, and reservoir management both operated and non-operated joint venture fields.
