Mr. Habib Ullah Chohan
Mr. Habib Ullah Chohan is a seasoned upstream energy professional with over 30 years of extensive experience in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.
As General Manager Commercial, Mr. Chohan oversees the full spectrum of the Company’s commercial operations, including crude oil, high-pressure gas, low-pressure gas, LPG, and sulphur. Under his leadership, the Commercial Department has undergone significant transformation through the streamlining of commercial processes and the resolution of longstanding legacy bottlenecks.
He has played a pivotal role in accelerating the monetization of strategically important projects, notably the Dhodak and Jandran raw gas sales, while also strengthening revenue generation through the fast-track commercialization of low-pressure gas and LPG.
Mr. Chohan joined OGDC in 1994 and has since served in a range of key technical and leadership positions, including Field Engineer, Field Manager, and Area Manager at both field locations and the Head Office. His professional experience spans operations across all four provinces of Pakistan, reflecting his broad field exposure and in-depth understanding of the upstream value chain.
With strong technical expertise in well testing and completions, he recently led the team for the successful delivery of the Bettani Early Production Facility, a milestone project for the Company. He is widely recognized for fostering a high performance culture and effectively aligning cross-functional teams to support strategic growth and operational excellence.
