Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan
Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan currently serves as General Manager (Joint Ventures & Business Development) at OGDC. He is a seasoned petroleum professional with over 31 years of extensive experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, and joined OGDC in April 1994.
Mr. Khan’s professional expertise spans joint venture governance, asset and portfolio management, technical and commercial evaluations, agreement negotiation, regulatory coordination, and stakeholder engagement. He has played a key role in strengthening joint venture frameworks, ensuring compliance with Petroleum Concession Agreements (PCA), Joint Operating Agreements (JOA), and HSEQ standards, while advancing strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.
He brings significant field and operational experience across production operations, exploratory well testing, completions, drilling support, and facility commissioning. Over the course of his career, he has successfully led initiatives related to well stimulation, corrosion control, and well abandonment across major producing assets of the Company.
At the corporate level, Mr. Khan has contributed to enhancing operational efficiency, structured governance, and sustainable value creation, while representing OGDC in key industry forums, including Technical Committee Meetings (TCM), Field Coordination Meetings (FCM), and Operating Committee Meetings (OCM).
He is widely recognized for his technical acumen, operational discipline, and effective coordination, and continues to support OGDC’s upstream growth and strategic objectives. He is also an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
