Mr. Suhai Atta

Mr. Suhail Atta currently serves as General Manager (Process & Plants) at OGDCL. He is a seasoned engineering professional with over 31 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore.

Mr. Atta oversees a diverse portfolio of oil and gas processing facilities across Pakistan, leading process engineering, plant operations, optimization initiatives, and major capital projects. Under his leadership, OGDCL has sustained production of gas, oil, and LPG while maintaining high standards of operational reliability, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

His key contributions include major projects such as the Qadirpur Plant Expansion, Dhodak Plant & Refinery, UCH-II Plant Development, KPD and Dakhni Plant Expansion, compression projects at UCH and Dakhni, and the Jhal Magsi Field Development. He has also overseen multiple plant start-ups, commissioning activities, design reviews, technical due diligence, and de-bottlenecking initiatives across key assets including KPD-TAY, Nashpa, and Qadirpur.

Throughout his career, he has driven performance improvement through process optimization, operational efficiency, and cost management, supported by enhancements in technology, equipment, control systems, and reporting frameworks.

Mr. Atta works closely with joint venture partners, regulators, consultants, contractors, and OEMs, representing OGDCL on critical technical and operational matters. He is widely recognized for his results-oriented leadership, technical expertise, and ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams, contributing to sustained operational excellence and long-term organizational growth.
