MD/CEO OGDCL Visits Qadirpur Gas Field, Stresses Revival of this Strategic Asset

MD/CEO, OGDCL Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak visited the Qadirpur Gas Field in Ghotki district of Sindh and emphasized the strategic importance of this asset and stressed the need for its urgent revival. Addressing Field Managers, Plant Managers, and Operations Managers, Mr. Lak underscored the critical role of field leadership in ensuring operational efficiency, discipline, and high performance.

Reaffirming his full support in overcoming operational challenges, the MD/CEO urged enhanced coordination with local administration, law enforcement, and community stakeholders to strengthen OGDCL’s corporate image. He reiterated that field inputs will be prioritized in strategic decisions and called for frequent coordination meetings to streamline production and resolve forced curtailments.

Recognizing excellence in HSEQ compliance, the MD/CEO awarded top-performing fields, with Qadirpur securing first place, Nashpa second, and KPD-TAY third. He also visited the Qadirpur Gas Plant’s control room, commending the team’s dedication to maintaining efficiency.

As part of OGDCL’s commitment to sustainability, the company’s senior management led by the MD/CEO conducted a tree plantation drive at the site, reinforcing the company’s pledge to environmental stewardship.
