OGDCL has signed an MoU with Taaleem Foundation (TF) to establish an eco-friendly school and Skills Center in Baiker, Phelawagh, District Dera Bugti. With an investment of Rs. 200 million, this flagship initiative aims to provide quality education and vocational training to the local community.

The MoU, signed by Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO, OGDCL and Mr. Asim Mushtaq, CEO, TF, reflects OGDCL’s commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment. The project is scheduled for completion within one year.

The multipurpose complex will offer primary education, adult literacy, and vocational training in marketable skills. It is designed to promote inclusivity, reduce gender disparities, and strengthen socio-economic resilience.

Particular emphasis will be placed on empowering young women through training in sewing, embroidery, and computer literacy. The center will also conduct awareness sessions on hygiene and nutrition, supporting overall community well-being.

In line with OGDCL’s green building strategy, the facility will be constructed to meet EDGE Level-1 Certification standards, ensuring energy efficiency, responsible resource use, and a low-carbon footprint.

This initiative is not just about building infrastructure, it is about creating pathways to knowledge, skills, and resilience for the underserved communities of Dera Bugti.
