OGDCL Commences Oil Production from Pasakhi-14 Well in Hyderabad, Sindh

OGDCL has commenced production of 1,100 barrels of oil per day (BPD) from its new development well, Pasakhi-14, located in Hyderabad, Sindh. The well, part of the Pasakhi & Pasakhi North Development & Production Lease (D&PL) where OGDCL holds a 100% working interest, was drilled to a depth of 2,183 metres to tap the hydrocarbon potential of the Lower Goru formation.

Using its technical expertise, OGDCL successfully delineated, drilled, and tested the well. Advanced technologies including the Rotary Steerable System (RSS), Electromagnetic Measurement While Drilling (MWD), and a nitrified mud system applied for the first time by the Company ensured accurate directional control, preserved formation integrity, and delivered strong production results. The well has been completed with Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) technology to optimize output.
