OGDC Commissions Dakhni Front End Compression Project, Strengthening National Energy Supply

OGDC has successfully commissioned the Dakhni Front End Compression Project, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing production efficiency and supporting Pakistan’s growing energy needs. The inauguration ceremony was led by Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Hayat Lak, who reaffirmed the Company’s strategic focus on optimizing output through innovation and operational excellence.

As a brownfield development seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure at Dakhni, the Front-End Compression facility has enhanced production capacity, adding 5 MMSCFD of gas, 100 barrels per day of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL), 3 metric tons per day of LPG, and 30 metric tons per day of sulfur. This incremental output will meaningfully contribute to strengthening domestic energy availability and reducing reliance on imports.
