Custom-Designed Learning Pathways

OGTI’s tailored learning development pathways are meticulously crafted with renowned universities like LUMS and IBA to meet the unique needs of different tiers within OGDCL. These bespoke programs, such as the Learning Excellence for Accelerated Progression (LEAP) and Learning Odyssey, are designed to empower our employees with the critical skills needed to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the organization's strategic objectives.

Ongoing Learning and Development Initiatives

The Learning Odyssey

The Learning Odyssey is a comprehensive development program tailored for different tiers within OGDCL.  Starting with Tier 1 - Management Development Program, this 14 days program focuses on critical areas such as problem-solving, decision-making, project leadership, organizational communication, and negotiation and conflict resolution, with each module designed to equip our employees with the skills necessary to drive organizational success. To date, 6 cohorts comprising of 150 employees at the Dy. Chief and Chief levels have successfully completed this program, demonstrating its impact and value.

Building on this success, the program will expand in the FY 2024-25 to include Tier 2 -Leader Development Program and Tier 3 - Change, Innovation and Organisational Renewal Program, further enhancing the leadership capabilities across the organization.

Learning Excellence for Accelerated Progression (LEAP)

The LEAP program is a 10-day leadership development initiative specifically designed for EG-II to EG-IV employees at OGDCL. This program focuses on cultivating essential skills such as critical thinking, decision-making, and collaboration, which are crucial for navigating complex challenges and unlocking potential within the organization. LEAP covers a wide range of topics including organizational transformation, industry landscape analysis, energy diversification, crisis communication, innovation,  design thinking, financial management, project management, interpersonal and written communication skills, etc. Through a combination of theory and practice, LEAP empowers participants with the tools needed to tackle business challenges and uncover strategic opportunities. The program also incorporates the Action Learning Project (ALP),which focuses on projects assigned to individual to translate their ideas into projects thus implementing applying various project management principles, while incorporation of serious lego play exercises enables participants to show their creative side. To date, 13 cohorts have successfully completed this intensive 10-day program, benefitting 390 participants across OGDCL.
