Staff Members Training Program
OGTI is dedicated to the continuous development of our staff members through a comprehensive training program that focuses on both trade-based skill enhancement and soft skill development. Our trade-based training initiatives are designed to upgrade the technical skills of our employees in critical areas ensuring they possess the latest competencies required to perform their roles effectively. Additionally, our soft skill programs emphasize the importance of communication, teamwork, time management, and leadership, equipping our staff with the interpersonal and professional skills needed to thrive in a collaborative work environment. By integrating both technical and soft skill training, OGTI ensures that is staff members are not only technically proficient but also well-rounded, adaptable, and prepared to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
Recent Learning and Development Initiatives
Staff Trade Training and Innovation
OGTI, in collaboration with NAVTTC, conducted a comprehensive trade training program for a batch of 60 staff members specializing in HVACR, welding, and electrical power systems. The training covered essential areas such as fundamental principles, tool applications, advanced techniques, simulation exercises, and real-world case studies. This hands-on training equipped our staff with the skills necessary to excel in their respective trades.
As part of this program, participants engaged in innovative projects, including the development of a three-phase motor control system for a 20 HP motor, an automatic star delta starter for motors ranging from 5 HP to 20 HP, and ongoing work on a PLC control system. Additionally, they repurposed a fridge compressor into an AC compressor and worked on a centralized cooling system. Moreover, Staff members attended lectures on workforce competency, workplace SOPs, HSEQ standards, tool utilization, teamwork, quality assurance, and green behavior. The program also included industrial visits to the National Centre for Non-Destructive Testing and the Atomic Energy Commission of Pakistan, providing practical exposure to advanced industrial processes.
In the near future, more staff members were expected to be provided with opportunities to upskill themselves through trade certifications in collaboration with various institutions, ensuring continuous professional development and innovation within OGDCL.
Staff Members Behavioral Intervention programs
These programs are designed to enhance capabilities in managing and improving workplace behavior, fostering teamwork, time management, motivation, self-awareness, and a growth mindset. These are customized programs specifically made in Urdu language with visual aids and exercises. These programs have already benefited over 400 staff members, with a session also conducted at Dhakni Plant. In near future, more programs will be added for staff members and will be extended to all major locations across the organization
Kar Dekhanay Ki Justuju
The program is specifically designed for staff members featuring Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, employing the Visual, Auditory, and Kinaesthetic (VAK) model, along with hypnosis. These sessions instilled a sense of ownership, stress management, adaptive behavior, and time management.
Choo Loo Asmaan
The program featured Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques and focused on inculcating self-awareness, relationships, work management, and continuous growth. It aimed to empower participants with tools to better understand their strengths and areas for improvement, fostering a mindset geared towards personal and professional development.
Humari Shanakht
The program addressed fundamental aspects such as basic needs, teamwork, responsibility, unity, and growth. It was designed to help participants build a strong sense of identity and belonging within their teams, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared goals. Through interactive sessions, participants learned how to contribute effectively to their teams while also focusing on their individual growth.
Palat Day Bazi
The curriculum of this program is designed to engage participants in understanding the importance of time management, overcoming obstacles, planning, and implementation. It focused on practical strategies for setting and achieving goals, enabling participants to navigate challenges with greater confidence and effectiveness. By the end of the program, participants were equipped with the skills to prioritize their tasks and execute plans more efficiently.
