Workshop on Renewable Energy Technologies
OGDCL, in collaboration with the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK), conducted a three-day workshop on Renewable Energy Technologies.
Participants gained a broad understanding of key renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydrogen fuel cells, and hydroelectric power. The program also covered energy storage, thermal technologies, and the integration of renewables into existing systems. Discussions emphasized local and global energy perspectives, highlighting the role of sustainable energy in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security.
Training on Generative AI and ChatGPT for Business Applications
OGTI organized a specialized training session on Generative AI and ChatGPT to strengthen employees’ technological capabilities.
The program covered core topics including AI-driven automation, prompt engineering, data analytics, and workflow optimization. Participants also received hands-on training in developing custom GPTs tailored to organizational needs, deepening their understanding of AI’s practical business applications.
Train-The-Trainer (TTT) Program
OGTI held a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) session titled "Empowering Future Trainers" to build internal training capacity and improve learning delivery at OGDCL.
The first cohort participated in an intensive program covering course design, facilitation techniques, learning principles, and retention strategies. Practical sessions with real-time feedback helped participants enhance their instructional skills and deliver more impactful training.
Vision, Mission, and Values (VMV) Workshops
OGTI conducted a series of VMV Workshops to align OGDCL’s organizational aspirations with the evolving business environment.
The initial session, designed for top management, focused on strategic vision and alignment. A subsequent workshop involved professionals from various levels, encouraging broad participation in refining the company’s mission and values. Discussions addressed business challenges and reaffirmed the core principles guiding OGDCL’s growth.
This initiative reflects the company's commitment to strategic clarity, unified direction, and continuous development.
Running Training Function and Operations: Strengthening Training Operations at OGTI
A specialized training titled "Running Training Function and Operations Effectively" was conducted for OGDCL’s learning and development professionals in collaboration with IBA-CEE.
The program focused on key areas such as Training Needs Analysis (TNA), curriculum design, delivery methods, logistics, evaluation models (Kirkpatrick), leadership, learning technologies, vendor management, budgeting, and strategic alignment. Interactive sessions and practical exercises enabled participants to refine training processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Workshop on Developing Leadership Potential Through Self Analysis Future Growth Spaces for OGDCL – The Next Decade
The workshop on Developing Leadership Potential Through Self Analysis and exploring Future Growth Spaces for OGDCL over the next decade is a comprehensive program focused on fostering an innovation mindset and preparing leaders for organizational transformation. The program emphasizes the need for strategic product reimagination, challenging existing business models, and integrating digital strategies for future success. Participants engage in activities like social construction for foresight development, the Polak Game, and LEGO Serious Play to build future scenarios and cultivate leadership for transformation. This program, made in collaboration with IBA, is designed to equip OGDCL leaders with the skills to navigate and lead through digital evolution and data-driven decision-making in the coming decade.
Environment Social and Governance:
The top leadership of the Company has undergone comprehensive training on key aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). This includes individual training sessions on Decoding Sustainability Standards, ESG & Ecolabels, and ESG Leadership: A Pathway to Business Sustainability. A customized workshop was also conducted, focusing on the relevance of ESG in the oil and gas sector and best practices for effective ESG governance. Company now plans to extend ESG Risk Management training to field locations ensuring a company-wide understanding and implementation of ESG principles. In addition, Company is also planning to hold training sessions on Renewable Energy
Feedback Mastery – Nurturing & Building High-Performance Teams
This program was meticulously designed for General Managers, Managers, and Field Managers who are responsible for delivering performance feedback and conducting appraisals. The objective was to equip these leaders with the essential skills needed to communicate effectively and foster growth within their teams through constructive feedback. The program emphasized promoting a feedback culture, encouraging an environment where feedback is a regular and valued part of the organizational culture, leading to continuous learning and improvement. It introduced advanced techniques, ensuring that feedback is impactful and drives positive change, and focused on adapting feedback strategies to fit different situations and individuals, making the feedback more relevant and effective. Additionally, the program provided strategies and tools to handle difficult conversations with confidence and empathy, ensuring that even tough messages are delivered in a way that motivates and supports growth.
Serving With Compassion Workshop
OGTI conducted a customized learning session titled "Serving With Compassion," led by Sohail Zandani, specifically designed for the Medical Service Department. This workshop focused on enhancing patient care through compassionate service, aiming to foster a supportive and empathetic healthcare environment. The learning agenda covered key areas such as understanding compassion in healthcare, developing empathy and emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and self-care for healthcare providers. Participants were equipped with strategies to integrate compassion into their daily practice, ensuring that patient care is delivered with empathy and understanding. Program will be extended to other departments in near future.
